SORRY!!! WE'RE BACK

Sorry folks some life challenges forced me to check out of the Dog Park fight for a month. So, we are back at square one. The Parks Dir who was supportive got laid off! So now I have to go back to the mayor. I'd like to formalize the committee before I do that so its not just me. Is anyone willing to host a meeting this Saturday?

MEETING WITH PARKS DIRECTOR

Bill the Director of parks is AWESOME! he was so supportive and knows Braintree. So, he showed me some property over in the highlands, and my response was, WHY NOT TWO PARKS? I would still like to pursue Perkins Park, I think it is a great location for East Braintree and then I will work on other parts of Braintree. Let me know your thoughts!

SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE

So...I'm trying folks. The mayor is re-thinking Perkins Park on request of the Parks Director and looking into the pros and cons of different sites. He's still supportive! We really need to make sure he keeps hearing from us that we want a dog park! Also, I am going to be putting together and official Dog Park Committee so that we can raise some money! So sorry if you have e-mailed me and I have been slow to get back to you, my day job has been insane...but I'm back.

So I need some people who can really committ a couple hours a week to this project. Any takers?

Finally a potential site!!

PERKINS PARK!

Its perfect. Not close to homes, playground, there is parking, no areas of pooling water, and there are two great big shade trees.

Yet, let's be prepared. The City can't afford to do this al on thier own, and the fence anywhere we go will be expensive. So we may have to do some fundraisers!! Any ideas?
